L’Outsider (b. Yann Le Berre 1984, France) “Haïku7” (2018) Unique, original aerosol spray and acrylic painting on canvas, measures 64 x 45 inches on a reinforced stretch canvas frame and is ready to hang. Hand signed, titled, and dated on the verso by L’Outsider. This is one of a series of Haiku paintings created by the street/graffiti artist in 2018 after being influenced by his journey to Japan. It represents the fast, concise sensations and emotions of Haiku as well as the practice of sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) that uses black ink and carefully chosen white spaces to create beautiful and complex studio works on canvas.

Note: L’Outsider had donated this painting, and we acquired it from, a charity auction benefitting French organization, ‘Jolokia Association’, founded in 2012 to spread positive messages about diversity and inclusion.
