"This bronze sculpture represents two lovers joined together by their costume. It was inspired by a costume designed for "The Kisses", a scene in a music-hall show at the Theatre Bataclan in Paris in 1918. This is an example of an unusual series of costumes I invented at that time and called "Costume Collectif" - these were outfits that held two or more people." --Erte.
