Marcel Mouly (1918 – 2008, French) “La Lampe Verte” (The Green Lamp). Limited edition lithograph in color on wove paper, hand signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right and numbered 83/300 in the lower left margin. The image measures 6 x 8.5 inches, and with the matting and frame (with Plexiglass), the work of art is 18.5 x 21 inches. This colorful and bold-hued piece combines figurative, still life, abstract, and cubist elements that are typical of this French painter and lithographer. Mouly’s work has been exhibited all over the world and today his paintings are held in major institutions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in Japan, the Museum of Geneva, the Museum of Modern Art in Helsinki, and Paris’ Bibliotheque Nationale.
