Hermann Lederle (b. 1958, West Germany) “Colorblots 1A” (2013) Original oil on paper surrounded by a black frame measures 30 x 22 inches and there is a wire on the back so that it is ready to hang. A description of the artist on his blog states that the “…German artist is a visual composer of line, shape, and color. His gestural paintings lead the viewer across the canvas in a dance of vibrant hues and undulating forms.”
Lederle created the ‘Colorblots’ series during the period 2013 – 2015. In 2017, he revisited the Colorblots images in a collaborative effort with Hans-Peter Haas of Fine Art Printing House in Stuttgart Germany. They released several of the Colorblots as limited-edition serigraphs.
Hermann Lederle is a German-born resident of Los Angeles, CA. His work has been widely exhibited in the United States in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Germany, Canada, Hungary, and France. Examples of his work are also found in the private collections of Ringo Starr, Eric Stolz, Cal Zecca, Gabor Csupo.
