Emancipate - Bronze Edition

Icy & Sot [aka Saman Oskouei (born 1985, Iran) and Sasan Oskouei (born 1991, Iran)] “Emancipate” [Bronze Edition – 2021] is an extremely rare, limited-edition work of art created using acrylic and spray paint on wood panel. (The very small edition is sold out on the artists’ website.) The work of art measures 14 x 18 inches and is signed by the artists and numbered (2/4) on the verso. (There is also 1 AP print in existence.) Icy & Sot are brothers currently living and working in New York. They are street/stencil artists whose work appear on walls and galleries world-wide and whose work focuses on important international concerns including human rights, social and political issues, the hardships of migrants and refugees, etc. The image depicted in “Emancipate” features barbed wire as a symbol of prison.
