Bill Mack (b. Minnesota) “Illusion” (1986) Framed, limited-edition bonded sand relief sculpture. The image measures 47.5 x 33 x 8.5 inches, with the custom frame, it is 60 x 45.5 x 12 inches, and it is artist-signed and numbered (52/95) by brush in the lower left. Depicted in this magnificent full-round piece is a female nude standing in the background and a female nude seated in the foreground with her knees and foot extending forward into space, out and over the frame, appearing to step over the lower edge of the frame. The wall relief was published by Erin Taylor Editions (Minnesota) and a sheet with cleaning instructions accompanies the work. CONDITION: Stains and dust accumulation; rubbed area on left leg; small, cracked hole in white wood backing upper left; small spots on linen mat, otherwise in good condition.
