(After) Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919, French) “BAIGNEUSE DEBOUT, A MI-JAMBES” (Standing Bather Down to the Knees) Posthumous impression of the etching on wove paper appearing in the book by Theodore Duret, “Manet and the French Impressionists”, published by G. Richards, London, 1910. Featured is an impressionistic, sensual, and charming portrait of a woman bathing in an outdoor setting, standing in a position of modesty. Measurements of the etching on cream color paper: plate 6 ½ x 4 ½”, sheet 13 x 10”, ornate gold wood beveled frame 23 x 21 ½” with gold fillet and matting under glass. Unsigned.
