Mark Kostabi (b. 1960, USA) “Flight of Fantasy”(2019) Limited-edition, 38-color serigraph hand signed and dated by the artist in pencil in the lower right and numbered 44/100 in the lower left. The 13.75 x 13.75-inch sheet has been matted and framed measuring 20.25 x 16.25 inches. A Certificate of Authenticity booklet accompanies this piece. Featured is one of Kostabi’s faceless, timeless, pony-tailed seated female figures nonchalantly painting images of colorful butterflies on a canvas while another group of butterflies are fluttering nearby apparently watching her as she creates.
There is also a commissioned 23.5 x 23.5-inch oil on canvas of this image that the artist painted, and hand signed in 2019. It sold (framed) at auction for over $2400 in October 2020. -
