That Pink Moment

Ralph Allen Massey (b. 1938, California) “That Pink Moment” (2013) Adorable acrylic painting with gouache on wood panel, hand signed and dated (1-24-13) on the lower right side of the panel in pink paint on blue background, titled on a label on the verso, measuring 21.75 x 22.5 inches. It is ready to hang. The center of the image features two affectionate and graceful white swans beneath the cursive word “Love” in the upper right quadrant, and vintage wind-up Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse toys in the lower left quadrant. All of this is set against a background consisting of a myriad of intricately drawn images of well-dressed men and women straight out of a fine art history book, all in shades of pink. The image appears to be framed in a layer of pink, then mint green, and surrounded in blue.
