Girl with Ball

(After) Roy Lichtenstein (1923 – 1997, American) “Girl with Ball” – Hand signed, matted and framed page from an art book. The image itself measures 11 x 6.5 inches and with wide black matting and 2-inch black wood frame, the work of art is 19 x 15 inches. The original 1961 oil on canvas painting is in The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Featured is a girl with a beach ball created using comic-strip style Benday dots and primary colors. The Pop Art piece was based on a fun in the sun 1960 print advertisement for the Mount Airy Lodge in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. (See last photo).
