Untitled (Interior Scene)

Abraham (Avraham) Goldberg (1903/06? – 1980, Polish/Israeli) Untitled Interior Scene (1943) Hand Signed and dated in pencil in the lower left and signed in Hebrew in the lower right by the artist. Color Pastels on black paper or card depicting two people (men?) sitting at an indoor table with another person (a woman?) approaching them. Goldberg was born in Poland and immigrated to Israel. He is known for his use of shadows and light, character and sadness in his Jewish, religious paintings. The image measures 5 x 9 inches and with the custom matting and frame (by ‘Jewel Box Frames’), the work of art is 11.5 x 15.25 inches. It is in apparently good, aged condition.
