Signature of the American Pop Artist, copyright sign and date imprinted in the image. Writing reads: ‘Design: Keith Haring New York for Lucky Strike B*A*T Hamburg; Art Consultant: Pierre Keller; Printed by Albin Uldry Switzerland’. From Haring’s Lucky Strike advertising portfolio of 1987 consisting of five screen prints. In this piece, a white figure attached to a spring is jumping out of an orange box (resembling a jack-in-the-box). His head has no face, but instead is the logo of the cigarette brand that was popular in the 1930s and 1940’s. The figure is seen against a bright yellow background and the box appears to be sitting on a green polka dot table. Catalogue Raisonne reference for this image is Littmann P. 78 (Klaus Littman.
