Alexandre Renoir (b. 1974, France/Canada) “Bright Sky” (2018) Hand-embellished limited-edition color giclee on canvas, hand signed in pigment by the Impressionist painter in the lower right, and numbered 203/350 on the verso. The image measures approximately 24 x 28 inches, and the piece has been elaborately matted and framed with quality acid-free and archival materials to museum specifications measuring 36 x 40.5 inches. Alexandre Renoir comes from a family with a rich tradition in the arts. He is the great-grandson of the master Impressionist painter, Pierre-August Renoir, as well as the grandson and grandnephew of well- known filmmakers Claude Renoir, Pierre Renoir and Jean Renoir. Alexandre, who now resides in Southern California, paints with palette knives, some of which he custom-creates for his own use. His artwork is inspired by nature, is vividly colored, and thickly textured resulting in bright yet peaceful images.
