Umbrella Man II

Peter Max (b. 1937, German American) “Umbrella Man II (Sailboat/Angel with Heart)” – This piece was produced in 2017 and hand signed by Peter Max at his Studio. The work of art consists of an 11.125 x 9-inch etching with additional hand coloring and is further embellished with unique remarques that were hand drawn with colored pencils. It is a limited edition (458/495) example of the pre-eminent Pop Artist’s well-known ‘Umbrella Man’ images from the 1970’s that was re-created near the end of his career on a copper etching plate. In the upper right corner of the wove paper is a drawing of Max’s iconic ‘Angel with Heart,’ and in the lower left of the sheet is a drawing of one of his ‘Sailboat with Heart’ series. Embossed in the lower left is the ‘Peter Max Copyright’ seal. The Certificate of Authenticity from Park West Gallery states, “This work of art is one from a series of unique works that Peter Max did of this theme.” This special piece is elaborately matted and framed with quality acid-free and archival materials to museum specifications and measures 36 x 33 inches.
