Many Figures

Mihail Chemiakin (b. 1943, Russia/California, USA) “Many Figures” – Limited edition color lithograph on Japan paper, hand signed (with a flourish) and numbered 40/125 in pencil by the artist. The image measures 20.5 x 18 inches and there is a blind stamp of master printer Ettinger in the lower left of the sheet. The work of art has been elegantly matted and framed under glass measuring 34 x 28 inches. Note: Some cockling along right sheet edge, otherwise in apparently good condition.

Chemiakin is known for his paintings, sculptures, costumes, and scenic designs produced in an unconventional but stunning style. This piece is an example of the artist’s unique and fanciful imagery of characters and creatures utilizing his mastery of color and form.
