The Garden

Ferjo aka Fernando de Jesus Oliveira (b. 1946, Brazilian American) “The Garden” – Hand Signed, AP (artist proof) limited edition lithograph (in addition to the 500 in the regular edition) with blind stamp. The sheet is 11.5 x 11.5 inches, the image is 10 x 10 inches, and the work of art has been matted and framed measuring 16.5 x 20.5 inches. This dream-like mythical world consists of a pathway from an interior into a garden lined with blue trees and a floating bubble overhead. Leading out the doorway are Ferjo’s spheres, a pencil partially suspended in the air, two hovering half eggshells, a strawberry and two fish out of water. On the walls are examples of the artist’s paintings within paintings, including his artistic impression of Amedeo Modigliani’s painting, Portrait of Jeanne Hebuterne with Red Shawl and a colorful Picasso-like double faced figure.
