(After) Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) “Self Portrait” - This reproduction is a limited edition (2/150) lithograph with the printed signature/moniker of Basquiat. It is based on the neo-expressionist 39 x 28-inch original acrylic and oil stick on paper mounted on canvas that the artist painted in 1984. A somewhat comical piece, it features a man with bright red eyes, ears, nose, mouth and body. A line or arrow connecting the mouth with the eye seems to imply that one should watch and think in order to speak. The unframed sheet measures approximately 20.5 x 14.5 inches.
