Embracing the Future

Mark Kostabi (b. 1960, USA) “Embracing the Future” is a hand signed/dated (2019) and numbered (96/100) original 38-color serigraph created in 2018 by Kostabi. The image measures 10 x 10 inches, the sheet size is 14 x 14 inches, and the heavy hand-made paper has been stamped with the publisher’s seal. The work of art has been matted and framed measuring 19.25 x 19.25 inches. A Certificate Booklet is included authenticating the work of art. The image is a variation on an original 46 x 46-inch oil on canvas by the noted artist and composer titled, “Eternal Radiance.” (See last photo.) Kostabi’s faceless figures are standing in a timeless interior space, embracing while an angel is joyously dancing in celebration of the couple’s eternal embrace. Beautiful details include the chandelier and the vase of flowers. In this piece, there is a work of art on the wall of the room that resembles one of Kostabi’s images of a man wearing a hat. In the original oil, depicted in that space is a window facing the Eiffel Tower, identifying the location as Paris.
