Ocean Trilogy

Robert Wyland (b. 1956) & Roy Tabora (b. 1956) “Ocean Trilogy” (1993) is a collaboration between the well-known American marine life artist and the Hawaiian seascape artist. It is an offset lithograph enhanced by an original watercolor remarque by Wyland and presented as a triptych encased in one frame. It is a limited-edition Printer’s Proof (numbered PP 1/95) signed in pencil by both artists. The three separated panels of the triptych are surrounded by a 42.5 x 87.5-inch Hawaiian Koa wood frame, a lining of linen, another layer of wood, and another mat of linen custom designed for this work of art. Wyland’s colorful, whimsical, intricate marine life is combined with Tabora’s image of the land and sea of Hawaii’s tropical shores. The two artists collaborated to share their distinctive perceptions of the paradise that exists above and below the sea. Certificate of Authenticity is from Wyland Galleries.
