The Wave

Leonardo Nierman (b. 1932, Mexico) “The Wave” is an oil painting on Masonite signed by the artist in the lower right. The image measures 16 x 24 inches, and the work has been mounted and is surrounded by two silver metallic mats and placed in a black wood frame measuring 25 x 31 inches. The title of the piece is written on the back of the painting but is concealed by the mounting board. Leonardo Nierman became a leader in Mexican modern and contemporary art with his creation of abstract paintings that are inspired by nature and music, as well as being colorful and full of motion.
