Frederic Remington (1861 – 1909, American) “Buffalo Horse” – Bronze Sculpture featuring a group of figures balanced on the rear legs of the buffalo with support from the lance at the front. The statue is signed and dated 1909, and numbered 3/100. Mounted on a green marble base with a brass plaque, it is a rendering of the buffalo run by American Plains Indians. A Native American hunter is depicted trying to take down a powerful buffalo, but the buffalo comes up under the horse and throws the hunter up into the air. Measures 10 (height) x 6.5 (width) x 5.75 (length) inches.
