Wild lines and muted colors are hallmarks of Edna Hibel's art.

Master lithographer, Edna Hibel, was able to achieve a variety of effects with the lithographic process by varying the papers, inks and transparency of color. Often, she found more than one combination that pleased her, so rather than eliminate all but one option, the edition is developed into more than one series/section. For example, this piece is VII 28/44 ed 209 and means that this is number 28 of 44 impressions in Series/Section VII, and there are a total of 209 prints in all the series/sections of this image.
