Etching on cream color laid paper from a posthumous edition. The 5.5 x 7.5-inch image is surrounded by gold fillet, linen matting, and an elaborate gold tone 23 x 25-inch wood frame with embossed design under glass. A COA from Park West Gallery is on the verso.
A timeless etching exhibiting the beauty of the female figure from one of the founders of the Impressionist movement, Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The young woman is lying on an overstuffed couch, head on the right side resting on a large round pillow with her eyes closed. Note the delicate use of line capturing her innocence, grace, and femininity in this Impressionist piece.
