Marcel Mouly (1918 – 2008, France) “La Grande Guitare Blanche” (The Large White Guitar) (1992) Limited edition color lithograph on Arches paper with embossing measures 38 x 30.5 inches and is matted and enclosed in a 48 x 40-inch gilded frame. The boldly colored (primarily yellow) work of art is hand signed and numbered 221/300 in graphite by the artist. Due to the embossing, the 34.5 x 27-inch abstract image appears textured. Marcel Mouly was a painter and lithographer known for colorful works of art in a fauvist, cubist, and abstract style influenced by Matisse and Picasso. His work has been exhibited internationally and is in the permanent collections of museums world-wide as well as in private collections.
