Haser (aka Kairau Bradley) “Love Found” (2019) is a limited-edition two-color screen print by the New Zealand graffiti artist/graphic designer/urban studio artist. The 16.5 x 23.5-inch sheet on 250 gsm off- white paper with matte finish has been enhanced by a gold metallic mat and placed in a thin black metal frame measuring 18 x 24 inches. The image, created for Global Street Art, was inspired by the 2019 terror attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand and was one of a series (called “Love Lost, Love Found”) of works representing Haser’s emotional response to the 51 killed and 40 injured in mass shootings at two mosques. The work of art is numbered 53/100 in the lower left and hand signed/dated by the artist in the lower right in pencil.
Haser began as a graffiti artist creating bold tags on urban walls in the streets. He has worked as the resident artist extraordinaire for New Zealand restaurant chain, BurgerFuel, and as a member of the graffiti collective TMD (The Most Dedicated). Over the years, his art has progressed in different directions and has evolved into simple and heartfelt studio works behind frames such as this piece, reminiscent of images created by pop artist, Keith Haring.
